Background stamp to change up cardstock, inspired from a lesson in Online Card Classes “Crushing on Cardstock”
I’m taking the current Online Card Classes Simply Watercolor and here are a few of my creations using only watercolors and no stamps.these were quite the challenge and they definitely took me out of my comfort zone but I had a lot of fun painting and I’m sure whoever I send them to they’ll love the handmade love.
Joining another mix-up challenge on the Ellen Hutson blog . The mix-up this month is with Concord & 9th and since I have lots of stamps and dies to choose from both companies I had to join. For this card I used the “Say Hello Dies” from Concord & 9th and the Bohemian Garden Stamps (still one of my faves) and Catherine Pooler’s new Spa Collection inks. ❤ ❤ ❤ thanks for stopping by.
I made this sparkly card for my special Stamp Nation friend Susan who reminded me I should post more creations on my blog. And as a bonus, Casual Fridays current challenge is all that glitters.
Since this is made with glittered embossing powder (clear, blue and silver) it fits the challenge perfectly. I love this ornament stamp set from Cas-ual Fridays especially the circle made of circles I’m sure I can use it for celebrations and birthdays. Thanks for stopping by & have a fabulous day!
Ellen Hutson is celebrating their 11th Anniversary and to share in the celebration I’ve made a card with my favorite Ellen Essential the Wild Garden dies. These dies have been around for a long time and I still love using them!
I’ve also used the “TreatYoSelf” die and a sentiment from the warm fuzzies collection because being sweet is a great reason to treat yourself to something good. To make the card I smooshed the new CP Spa Collection inks to get cool looking paper for the background and dies then to finish the card I added some sequins for some bling. Congrats to Ellen on 11 years and coming out with some Awesome stamps and dies that I get to play with.
Thankful. I am truly grateful for my family and friends and that I was able to spend so much time with them this Thanksgiving weekend. I’m playing along with the Muse Card Club Challenge with this card. I was Inspired by the sentiment so I used this “thankful”die and the polka dots background but I used leaves and the fall colors. Here’s the inspiration photo http://musecardclub.blogspot.com/2017/11/muse-challenge-243.html
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
The ornamental background stamp in the Winterhaven SOA totally reminds me of old retro Christmas ornaments so I wanted to make a retro Christmas tree with these cute ornaments. I made the tree with it’s a girl and sweet sixteen CP inks because that felt really retro to me then stamped the background stamp in pixie dust cut out individual ornaments dabbed some it’s a boy ink in the center and used my spectrum noir sparkle pen over each ornament to make them super shiny. It was fun to make something different then what you would expect from these stamps and I might make one in traditional Christmas colors. I think this is great for the current Muse challenge http://musecardclub.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/muse-challenge-242.html a large tree with some ornaments and a large sentiment. Here’s the card by Ardyth
I ordered the latest Stamp of Approval Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs and been having lots of fun playing with the Ornamental Background Stamp. For this card I used Abandoned Coral Distress Stain to stamp with. After covering the stamp with the stain I put watercolor paper on it and press down while rubbing to get a good impression from the stain. Then I cover the empty spots with more stain and the stamp image becomes darker. I’m really loving this look and I’m sure I’ll be making lots more.
I was super excited to see the challenge on the CAS-ual Friday blog, CASE a Girl Friday. There’s lots of gorgeous cards to “CASE” but I chose this fabulous card by Marcia Harrington.
I wanted to use two of the stamp sets she used, Modern Petals and Pretty Posies. I used the bigger Modern Petals stamp and embossed with purple instead of blue and made a panel instead wide border then stamped the posies embossed them with silver then colored with blues instead of purple.
I really had lots of fun with this challenge and like playing along with the Girl Fridays. Be sure to check out the CAS-ual Fridays blog for great inspiration.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!
Kraft and white is the current challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays. I love this sentiment and really like the flowers in kraft and white.
Check out the challenge as there’s lots of inspiration by lots of talented crafters.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
